What is the importance of body Ph?

My personal opinion is that there is a tremendous amount of misinformation
and too much priority put on ph levels. Everyone has an opinion and no one
seems to totally agree, in this area. It also seems that many of the
“experts” that try to make ph levels seem so important are usually selling
products that will supposedly balance the ph levels! While I don’t think
there is anything wrong with checking ph levels, I do think that it is
something that people, especially cancer patients, can become obsessive
about to the point that it produces stress - akin to the stress that
patients experience when they go in for MRIs or lab testing for cancer
markers. What we are striving for is balance and healing by giving the body
what it needs to repair and heal. It is most likely that this will be
different for every individual as far as what is normal. Testing the ph
levels is just that - a test and we all know what that means - it may not
always be correct and it is only an indicator of what is going on at THAT
particular time.

The body goes through several phases during the day.

BODY CYCLE #1 THE ELIMINATION CYCLE
Your body’s elimination cycle starts at 4:00 AM and ends at 12:00 NOON.
During this cycle the body eliminates body-producing poisons, waste matter
and materials, salts, proteins, and uric acids in liquid, solid, and gaseous
forms. During this cycle, it is optimal to feed the body adequate amounts of
fresh organic seasonal fruit and fresh fruit juice. This creates an ideal
environment to support the body’s cleansing and elimination processes.

BODY CYCLE #2 APPROPRIATION
The appropriation cycle starts at 12:00 NOON and ends at 4:00 PM. During
this cycle the body takes in and stores food to process them later. Then the
body starts an absorption process of the foods. The body is supported
during this cycle by eating fresh raw vegetables for lunch (a salad) with a
starch source to help support the body’s biochemical balance.

BODY CYCLE #3 THE ASSIMILATION CYCLE
The assimilation cycle starts at 8:00 PM and ends at 4:00 AM, which then
starts the elimination cycle, etc. The assimilation cycle is the time to
heal, build, and re-energize. During this cycle the body assimilates all
the foods given that day and utilizes them for the rebuilding,
reconstruction, and the regeneration of the entire human body. Hormone
production occurs during this time, as does the continuing release of
certain toxins.

The pH of the urine can indicate how the body is working to maintain the
proper pH of the blood. The urine reveals the alkaline building (anabolic)
and acid tearing down (catabolic) cycles. The pH of urine indicates the
efforts of the body via the kidneys, adrenals, lungs and gonads to regulate
pH through the buffer salts and hormones. Urine can provide a fairly
accurate picture of body chemistry, because the kidneys filter out the
buffer salts of pH regulation and provide values based on what the body is
eliminating. Urine pH can vary from around 4.5 to 9.0 for its extremes, but
the ideal range is 5.8 to 6.8. However, some consider 5-6 to be VERY
normal. Urine will always be slighly more acidic than saliva.

If you are check the urine in the morning (by the way it should be the
second urine of the morning, not the first) it is more likely the be
somewhat acidic because of the elimination cycle from the night. The body
does the most repair work at night (if you are sleeping between the hours of
10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.) so it is normal for toxins (acidic) to be
eliminated in the morning hours.

A single measurement is not enough to draw any valid conclusions about the
state of the internal environment; pH can vary at different times of the day
because of activity, meals, physical effort, stress, and so forth. To be
truly representative, the measurements must be taken several times a day for
five to seven days in succession. You can note the data collected from these
readings on a chart to obtain an overall picture of pH over time. protein
shake ratings.

As a rule, the first urination in the morning is not representative of your
normal pH because it contains all the acids filtered by the kidneys that
have accumulated overnight. The body is doing repair work at night and then
beginning around 4:00 a.m. the elimination cycle begins to allow the body to
rid itself of toxins, et. The first test should be made with the second
urination of the morning. The second test should be made on the urine before
lunch, and the third before the evening meal. It is very important to take
the test before the meal, because the pH can temporarily vary significantly
depending on what beverages and foods you have consumed. Besides these three
tests, you may measure and note urine pH at other times of the day just for
your own information.

Foods considered to be alkaline-forming and thus helpful to people with
consistently acid pH include: almonds, aloe vera, apples, apricots, bee
pollen, buckwheat, cabbage, cantaloupe, celery, carrots, cucumbers, dairy
products except hard cheese, dates, dulse, poached eggs, figs, grapefruit,
honey, lettuce, millet, parsley, raisins, peaches, fresh red potatoes,
pineapple, sprouted seeds, cooked spinach, turnip tops, wakame miso soup,
azuki beans, rice, mineral water.

Some acid forming foods are high amounts of flesh foods, grains, especially
processed grains and cereals, white flour and sugar, candy, pastry, most
beans, lots of fats, fried foods, sodas, coffee, Lipton tea and others that
contain tannic acid, canned foods, commercially raised fruits and vegetables
in soil too low in the alkaline minerals such as calcium and magnesium,
fruit juice and fruit juice drinks, dairy, especially pasteurized, city
water, synthetic vitamins, chemical additives, colorings, preservatives,
prescription and synthetic drugs.

People who remain too acid often display symptoms such as: anxiety,
diarrhea, dilated pupils, extroverted behavior, fatigue in early morning,
headaches, hyperactivity, hypersexuality, insomnia, nervousness, rapid
heartbeat, restless legs, shortness of breath, strong appetite, high blood
pressure, warm dry hands and feet.

Please don’t let the ph mantra get you off-track. Give the body what it
needs along with stress reduction and negative emotion elimination. The
best indicators are how your feel and how you look and what if any symptoms
are present. Relax. Enjoy life. Love. Laugh. Be Thankful.
